GelatiAmo is the newest gelato café in the West, serving real gelato created the same way it is in Florence. Chef Loris Massimini of Ristorante Pietrasanta has created a new café that draws on his ten-year experience in authentic Italian cuisine and dessert so you can be assured of its quality!
Classic ice cream choices include Vanilla, Salted Caramel, Chocolate (made with 76% cacao), Earl Grey, Coconut with Choco Chip, Yogurt Strawberry, and Melted Butter Coffee (made with Brazil single-origin coffee grinds) that cost $4.20 per scoop or $7.80 for a double scoop. Premium flavours will cost $0.80 more per scoop but they will definitely be worth it.
Prefer a more indulgent flavour? Go for the Ferrero Rocher or Pistachio – a rendition made from nuts roasted on-site for a pure, fresh nutty flavour! Takeaway pints are priced at $14.50 for Classics, $17.50 for Premium, and $18.50 for Pistachio. For larger takeaway tubs, they are priced at $20.90 / $24.90 / $25.90 respectively.
The menu provides classics done correctly, as well as store specialties that you won’t find anywhere else in Singapore, because it focuses on timeless rather than current flavours. The Burrata Balsamico is a store specialty inspired by Ristorante Pietrasanta’s renowned cheesecake.
The same 12-Year-Old Giuseppe Giusti Balsamic Vinegar used in their cheesecake is combined with the rich and sweet mascarpone for a well-balanced gelato flavour. Seasonal rotations are also available to whet one’s appetite. Check out the Champagne Grapefruit, a tart and refreshing new year’s specialty with 2% alcohol, pervades the sparkling wine’s flavours. Almond & Turmeric gelato and Orange Sorbet are among the vegan options available as well.
Have the gelato on its own or served in Brioche or Square Cinnamon-coated Doughnuts ($2.50, $6.50 with gelato). If you prefer a topped or sandwiched ice-cream version, GelatiAmo has both options for you to choose from that taste equally good.
Enjoy it with speciality coffees (prices start at $3.20) from Brazil single-origin beans or try the Yuan Yang Special, which combines the best of both worlds with a shot of espresso poured over a scoop of Earl Grey gelato!
Desserts prepared in-house round out the menu as Ristorante Pietrasanta’s famed Tiramisu ($8.90) is now available, as well as seasonal rotating desserts such as Dark Chocolate Mousse ($7.90) and Panna Cotta Butterscotch ($5.90).
When “your heart says more”, give it gelato! At GelatiAmo, you can be assured of a sweet ending to your tiring day along with a word-search mural wall to while your time away when inspiration strikes.
Swathed in a breezy Mediterranean turquoise theme, inviting terrazzo tables and rattan chairs await. Furthermore, Don’t miss the opening promotion of 1-for-1 single scoop gelato on 18 and 19 February 2022 so visit them or check out their website, Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates.
