Watching movies is a great way to spend time with your family or even just to have some time alone. There are so many types of movies that are available on movie streaming platform such as Netflix and Disney+. However, I would prefer watching movies at the cinema – with surround sound and a huge screen.
Marvel Studios movies has got to be my favourite. I was actually not a big fan of action movies, but there is something about Marvel movies that made me enjoy action movies. This year we are all in for a treat as there are a number of Marvel Studios movies that will be premiering soon!
Black Widow
Black Widow also known as Natasha Romanoff is one my favourite characters in the MCU. She makes up one-sixth of the OG Avengers. After Avengers: Endgame, I was sad that I might not be able to see her on screen again. However, Marvel released the Black Widow trailer on April 4th, 2021 and I was super excited for the movie.
Set to release in July 2021, the movie tells the story of Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) as she confronts her dark past. As the movie progresses, we will get to see how she deals with her history as a spy and the broken relationships she has had before she became a member of the Avengers.
Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings
A new character is now being introduced into the MCU. Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings tells the story of Shang-Chi played by Simu Liu, on his journey to confront his past even though he has left it behind. He then found himself getting back into the Ten Rings Organisation.
The film will be starred by other talented individuals such as Awkwafina as Katy, Tony Leung as Wenwu, Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan, and more. I am pretty excited for this when the teaser came out on April 19, 2021. The film is set to premiere in September, so mark your calendars!
Eternals
Meet the newest superhero team in the MCU, Eternals. They are a group of ancient aliens who have been living on the surface of the Earth for many years. However, they have not been introduced on screen and are finally coming out after Avengers: Endgame. Many may know Thanos, well he is actually related to the Eternals.
The trailer was released very recently on May 24th, 2021. I am very excited for this one. New characters, new storyline and new adventures. The movie is set to release in October 2021 and Marvel movies are not complete without action-packed scenes, so I am pretty sure this movie would have tons of that.
Other Movies
Apart from these three movies, there are also other movies coming soon such as Spider-Man: No Way Home starring Tom Holland, Zendaya and more set to release in December 2021 in Singapore tentatively.
Another movie that will be released soon is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Wilson, and more. However, trailers for both of these films have yet to be released thus there may be changes to its release dates depending on the current pandemic situation.
Nonetheless, I am excited for these movies to be released as we enter Phase 4 of the MCU. Mark your calendars everyone! This year’s Marvel Studios movies will be taking us on a wild ride!
