Hong Kong-style rice noodles are about to get a new crowd magnet at HarbourFront. FËI ZAP MÂI LÄAN (肥汁米蘭) — billed as China’s No.1 authentic Hong Kong rice noodles brand with over 10 million bowls sold annually — is opening its 85th outlet and first overseas outpost in Singapore at VivoCity (#01-167/168) on 19 December 2025.

Expect queue-worthy bowls, comforting Cantonese-style broths, and lots of “build-your-own” fun with 30+ toppings.

What’s new and interesting

  • First-ever overseas outlet for FËI ZAP MÂI LÄAN, landing right here in Singapore.

  • Recipes are said to be inspired by heritage flavours over 60 years old, learned in Hong Kong by the founder.

  • Bowls are cooked à la minute, served hot with a broth simmered over 12 hours for that milky, collagen-rich depth.

Must-try Signature Bowls

If you want a fuss-free first order, start with these preset combinations:

The Mighty Four Bowl (S$13.90)

A saucy, layered mix of fish roe balls, ham, wuxiang, and specially made char siew, plus bean sprouts and coriander over silky rice noodles. The broth is richer and slightly thicker, with savoury minced meat and a gentle smoky note.

The Pickled Punch Beef Bowl (S$15.90)

Bright, tangy, and a little spicy. Comes with sliced beef, beef tendon balls, tau pok, black fungus, plus sprouts, coriander, and rice noodles — designed for the punchy pickled soup base.

The Tomato Chop Bowl (S$16.90)

Cha chaan teng comfort in a bowl: HK-style fried pork chop, sunny side up egg, veggies and diced tomatoes, served with macaroni.

The Supreme Twin Fish Bowl (S$16.90)

A fish-lover’s pick featuring fried fish + sliced fish, with black fungus, crabstick, radish, sprouts and coriander on rice noodles.

Quartet of soup bases (pick your vibe)

You’ll be choosing from four broths:

  • Signature Zhajiang Broth: Their star “golden-red” soup that combines a chunky fried zhajiang-style sauce with bone broth (mixed in a 3:1 ratio), delivering spicy-tangy-savoury depth.

  • Pickled Punch Peppercorn Broth: Built on jar-cured pickled mustard greens, plus Yunnan dried chillies and Sichuan peppercorn for fragrance and kick.

  • Tomato Stew Broth: Naturally thick, tangy-sweet, with visible tomato chunks — friendly for all ages.

  • Rich Fresh Fish Broth: Prepared fresh daily using Cantonese soup techniques for a milky-white, full-bodied (but non-greasy) finish.

Customise your own bowl (the fun part)

Prefer total control? Go for the Make-Your-Own Bowl:

  1. Choose at least 3 toppings (S$0.99 to S$2.99)

  2. Choose a staple (S$0.90): Rice Noodles / Kway Teow / Udon / Macaroni

  3. Choose a soup base (S$5.90): pick from the four broths

There’s also a free-flow condiments station, with items like chilli padi, signature sauces, vinegar, and more.

Toppings you’ll see (price guide)

  • S$0.99: bean curd skin, tau pok, seaweed, black fungus, enoki, kelp, bamboo fishcake, braised egg

  • S$1.99: radish, red sausage, luncheon meat, ham, meatballs, fish sandwich rolls, fish roe balls, chicken cheese balls, lobster balls, cuttlefish cheese balls

  • S$2.99: handmade shrimp paste, pork belly, braised pork intestine, sliced beef, beef shank, beef tendon balls, beef tripe, specially made char siew

Snacks, desserts, and classic HK drinks

Come hungry — there’s plenty beyond noodles:
