In celebration of their 31st anniversary, Soup Restaurant has launched two dine-in set menus: Anniversary and Celebration. Each set boasts heritage dishes that many Singaporeans grew up eating and will please the tastebuds of the young and old.
Priced from $78 onwards for 2 to 10 pax, these dine-in sets will be available till 30 September 2022. Here are some of the dishes available that you can expect:
Widely known as Soup Restaurant’s most popular dish, the Samsui Ginger Chicken sees succulent and tender chicken meat paired with fresh lettuce, cucumbers and their signature Samsui Ginger Sauce. Simply steamed with minimal seasoning, this dish is delicious on its own or when paired with their Hometown Fried Rice with Dried Shrimp.
Something that will excite the tastebuds in the set menu is the Honey Truffle Pork Chop that has a medley of mushrooms, onions tossed together in a fragrant and mouth-watering honey and truffle sauce for that mildly sweet and umami flavour. This is a dish that will have the children polishing off their plates and asking for a second helping.
The Ah Kon Fan Shu Leaves on the other hand is a staple favourite which packs a spicy punch as the leafy greens stir-fried with Soup Restaurant’s homemade Samsui Sambal Sauce.
Think succulent prawns paired with soft silky egg tofu and immersed in a sweet and tangy chilli crab-inspired sauce! The Tofu Prawns will have you scooping up every drop of sauce with the accompanying mantou to complete the experience. For a non-spicy option, the Steamed Eggs with Salted and Century Eggs sees a medley of eggs that are steamed till silky smooth and layered with a light soy-based sauce that complements the dish well.
