True to its name, which means people in Mandarin, Rén Lounge is where anyone can feel comfortable dining on fine Japanese cuisine. Here you can expect value-for-money Edo-style Japanese Omakase for lunch and dinner which include seasonal appetisers, exquisite sashimi and sushi, and dessert.

Ren Lounge

For the coming summer menu, Rén Lounge pays careful attention to its offerings, from the freshest wild-caught seafood to curated drinks list. Expect the bold flavours of Japanese ingredients at their peak of freshness, such as tomatoes, lady’s fingers and broad beans, chi ayu sweetfish, anago salt-water eel, shima aji striped jack, kawahagi thread-tail tilefish, sweet ruby ‘red apple’ mango from Miyazaki, and more.

Dazzling Interior

Located next to JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach, the concept comprises several distinct spaces, such as an island centrepiece kitchen of counter seats for omakase dining and a lounge with an extensive selection of drinks.

Ren Lounge

Relax on comfortable bar chairs and watch the chefs in action as they prepare your meal in front of you. Accommodating up to just 16 diners at a time for lunch and dinner, this central open kitchen is where the freshest wild-caught seafood is transformed into the Edo-style nigiri for your enjoyment.

Ren Lounge

The Lunch menus range from $80 for the 12-piece Tsuki set, to $100 and $180 for Omakase. Dinner menus on the other hand range from $150 for the 15-piece Sushi Edomae set, to $180, $250 and $350 for the signature Omakase.

Chef Samuel Lau delivers his signature flair in Japanese cuisine with seven years of hard-won experience at Japanese restaurants, most recently as sushi chef at Shinji by Kanesawa (St Regis).

Ren Lounge

“As a regular chef, you look to turn ingredients into a dish. But in Japanese cuisine as a sushi chef, you use the finest ingredients and build on it. We use careful traditional methods and ingredients to enhance and balance the flavour. It is simple yet difficult and sophisticated at the same time.”

Appetizers & Mains

With its ideal location at the heart of the city, Rén Lounge is also a space to meet with friends and relax at the end of the day over a drink or two. Diners will also have the choice of tasty bar bites that range from Japanese appetisers to western mains to choose from.

Ren Lounge

Of these, don’t miss the fine seasonal live oysters that are served fresh, or gratinated in Kilpatrick or Rockefeller style, while the specialty lamb rack is a favourite for its crisp herb crust.

The compact drinks menu offers the choice of Champagne, wine, sake, whisky and more to pair with your meal. With multiple experiences under one roof, there’s a warm welcome for everyone when you come to Rén.
