Enjoy Ichiban Boshi & Ichiban Sushi Meat-Free Series From $6.90!

Seems like food and environmental sustainability is in and next on the bandwagon is Ichiban Boshi whom have launched their first-ever meat-free series! Prices start from $6.90 and dishes include sushi, donburi, appetiser mains and more.

Meat-free ingredients from Quorn are used whose variety of product will allow the chefs at Ichiban to experiment and whip up delicious meals to its diners.

Begin with the Tanuki Avocado Roll (S$12.90) that has a beautiful array of colors made with avocado, cucumbers, carrot and fried potato. Salted kelp and a slice of cherry tomato is added for a vibrant display and paired with a sweet yuzu orange sauce.

The Yasai Chirashi Don (S$14.90) is sure to fill your stomach with nutritious items as the bowl is filled to the brim with tofu, avocado, cucumber, green soybean, cherry tomato, Japanese pickles, tempura flakes, salted kelp and sushi rice.

Of course meat free doesn’t just mean no meat right? Go for the Ishiyaki Mapo Tofu (S$11.90) that includes meat-free minced chicken and chunks of tofu and served in a hot stone, with luscious mapo sauce.

The Hotplate Unagi Tofu (S$15.90) will arrive sizzling hot and will introduce a meat-free BBQ eel with fried tofu and glazed with a lip-smacking teriyaki sauce that will wow you with how similar it tastes to the real deal with its smoky hint and firm texture.

Some would consider mushroom meat (especially when one orders mala and mushroom is the same price as meat if not costlier). Promising an addictive savoury bite, the Cheesy Mushroom (S$8.90) sees shiitake mushroom deep-fried with cheese and mayonnaise to crispy perfection, then topped with sweet sauce and tonkatsu sauce.

Not forgetting the Mala Fish Skin (S$6.90) — the meat-free fish skin is dusted generously with mala powder and accompanied with mayonnaise that will complete your meal.
