Hear it from us, #udonwanttomissit as Miso Salmon is here to provide delicious bowls of food in the heart of Tanjong Pagar for all to enjoy. Don’t enjoy the normal udon due to its thickness but want a little more oomph or texture to your ramen noodles? As Singapore’s only Inaniwa Udon specialty restaurant, their main feature is their slender and chewy noodle that sits nicely between the two and will definitely hit the spot.
With a selection of specialities and premium Bowls to choose from as well as a ‘Build Your Own Bowl’ option, diners can customize their food with a variety of options from the noodle type, to the mains and toppings too.
With six different flavours of miso soup base available – Original, Garlic, Spicy, Sesame, Truffle or Fish Collagen you will be spoiled for choice. For the undecided, go for their Fish Collagen Miso Soup that will fill you up with goodness and nourish your skin.
Build Your Own Bowl
We opted to “Build Your Own Bowl” (from $10 onwards) and chose Shirataki Noodles in Fish Collagen Miso Soup and added on Salmon and Crayfish with Shimeji Mushroom and Japanese Fish Cake as our mains and toppings.
Shirataki noodles (also known as “miracle noodles”) are made from the root of the konjac plant that boasts very low calories and are high in fibre. For those on a diet or looking for low calorie alternative, these noodles are perfect for a light yet flavourful meal.
The soup was full of flavour albeit on the healthier side and is good for those who are more health conscious while the ingredients were fresh and delicious with thick slices of salmon and huge chunks of deshelled crayfish meat that were easy to consume.
Sides, Specialities & Premium Bowls
Start your meal with a selection of scrumptious sides such as Chicken Karaage with Parmesan Cheese ($7 for 6 pieces) and we would recommend going for their Mentai Mayo Tamagoyaki ($6 for 4 pieces) or Truffle Edamame ($7) as an appetizer before you dig into your mains.
If soup is not your thing, Miso Salmon also has dry versions available and we would recommend you to try their Tiger Prawn with Mentaiko Bowl ($19). With four large and fresh prawns, a combination of mentaiko, ebiko and a runny onsen egg mixed into a hot bowl of chewy noodles, you would definitely be coming back for seconds.
Rice-lovers will not miss out here as well. Dig-in to their hearty rice bowls such as Yakitori Chicken with Truffled Mushroom Don ($15) for chunks of well marinated meat, loads of truffled mushrooms and a side of pickles that balances out the dish well.
With plenty of other meat options, choose from Aburi Salmon Mentai with Edamame Don ($15) or go for their Smoked Duck with Sweet Corn Don ($15) for more alternatives if you don’t fancy chicken.
With a variety of options to choose from, head on down with your colleagues during your lunch break and grab a meal at Miso Salmon today! Islandwide delivery is also available on Oddle (and Grabfood)
