Crown Prince Kitchenette has opened a new Teochew Bak Kut teh-Centric restaurant at Singapore Changi Airport T3. Helmed by 70 year old Chef Ah Peng with over five decades of experience, Crown Prince Kitchenette introduces traditional Teochew-style soup and dry bak kut teh, and a slew of specialty comfort dishes.

Boasting over five decades of experience, Chef Ah Peng was previously the head chef at Lian Peng Bak Kut Teh and Joo Seng Teochew Porridge. He makes a comeback with a tapestry of dishes that traverse his years of culinary knowledge, of old time recipes that evoke flavours of the past.

Speciality Dishes On The Menu

Crown Prince Kitchenette Dry & Soup Bak Kut Teh Dishes
  • Teochew-Style Bak Kut Teh Soup ($8.80) – A clear peppery broth that is meaty and fragrant with garlic. Slow cooked with a unique blend of spices, the delicate yet flavourful broth is a symphony of flavours, punctuated with bites of tender pork ribs.
  • Claypot Stir-Fried Dry Bak Kut Teh ($15) – Served in a claypot, this dish comes sizzling hot with succulent pork ribs in a glistening savoury gravy. Packed with dried cuttlefish, shrimps and a slight heat, the ribs are raised briefly and stir-fried until all the flavours are immersed.
Braised Duck
  • Braised Duck ($17) – The duck is imbued with a harmonious blend of aromatic spices and herbs. With each bite, it reveals layers of complexity that tantalise the palette with subtle hints of sweetness.
  • Teochew-Style Steamed Fish (from $8) – The gentle flakiness of the fish is inviting and enhanced by the sour and salty flavours of the herbs and spices.
  • House-Made Hae Bee Hiam ($6) – With a smoky flavour that is tangy yet refreshing with a hint of spice, this unassuming condiment enhances the mains, giving them an umami kick.
