We all watch Disney movies at some point in our lives. I am a Disney fan. I love Disney movies, TV series, you name it. My favourite will always be the Disney animated movies. When I was a little girl, I would always pick the side of the princess or the good characters. But as I grew older, I feel for the villains more such as Cruella and Ursula.
My favourite villain is Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty. When the life-action remake of the original film was screening in the cinema, I did not wait and immediately purchased the ticket to watch it. Another villain that I think is the most iconic is Cruella de Vil. I honestly think that she is the most fashion-forward villain in Disney.
Life-Action Villain Movie
As many of us know, Disney has introduced us to the backstory of some villains from Disney movies. Some of which is Maleficent which has a sequel to the first movie and now, we are introduced to another villain movie, Cruella.
I am honestly hoping that Disney would introduce us to more movies about Disney villains such as the Evil Queen, Jafar, Gaston and more because I live for their origin stories.
Cruella Trailer
The trailer was released on February 17th, 2021. The moment is saw it on YouTube, I clicked on it and I was so excited for the movie to be finally released. In the trailer, we get to see how Estella gets her revenge on fashion legend, Baroness von Hellman.
As the trailer progressed, we could definitely see the effort Cruella has put in to get her revenge, starting from iconic fashion to dangerous acts. The second trailer for the movie was released on April 7th, 2021. In this new trailer, we can see how Estella was treated by Baroness and how she made the choice to transform into Cruella.
Star-Studded Cast
The movie is played by several talented and experienced actors and actresses who have made a huge impact in the film industry. The star of the show, Estella/Cruella is played by Emma Stone, and the fashion legend of the movie, Baroness Von Hellman is played by the legendary Emma Thompson.

Final Thoughts
I am pretty sure this is going to a be a great movie. From the storyline to the cast, I think I would definitely enjoy the movie – maybe because I get to understand story from the perspective of a known villain in Disney.
I would definitely love to be able to know more about the backstory of other villains as well. Turn out, most of these villains are nice. They are just misunderstood. I would really love to know more about Ursula as well.
Do not forget to catch Cruella at your nearest cinema. However, do remember to follow the rules implemented due to COVID-19. Ensure that you are always wearing a mask in the cinema and practice safe distancing at all times.
