Put the disappointment aside due to the cancelled travel plans as there is so much more to Changi Airport than you thought.

When the pandemic hit, almost everyone was upset as travel plans had to be cancelled. This also means no more flights departing, no more sunny beaches and luxury hotels. The airport was almost empty.

Most people associate the airport with flights and travelling, however there is so much more to Singapore’s Changi Airport. Apart from the countless number of retail and F&B outlets, visitors can expect art installations, and attractions for families.

Appreciate Art

Kinetic Rain

This art installation is one the many favourites. Located at Terminal 1, it is made with 1,216 bronze droplets. Furthermore, this sculpture can form 16 different shapes, namely, a hot air balloon, an airplane and even a dragon.

Inspired by the space, flow and activities held at Terminal 1, this sculpture symbolises the collaboration among members of the airport community to provide a one-of-a-kind experience for its passengers and visitors.

Distinguished by its shape and painted in Singapore’s national colour, red and white, this sculpture moves in response to the movement of people in its surroundings. Apart from that, it also represents Singapore’s diverse range of flora.
