Want to win a Nintendo Switch Lite or Nespresso Machine? Welcome to one of the oldest estates in Singapore where some may know that the first MRT station in Singapore to be built was in Toa Payoh. However, did you know that Toa Payoh was also chosen to be the location for Singapore’s first international sports event?
The Southeast Asian Peninsular Games (SEAP) Games Village was opened in the heart of Toa Payoh in 1973, with four HDB point blocks serving as accommodation for athletes before being sold to the public after the 1973 SEAP Games. During the Games, Toa Payoh Public Library was used as the secretariat building for the Games, while the Toa Payoh Stadium, Sports Hall and Swimming Complex were all competition and training venues.

1) Scavenger Hunt
Look out for weekly clues released every Friday on Toa Payoh East Youth Network’s Facebook page from 13 Aug to 3 Sep. 5 photos of iconic places in Toa Payoh and 5 trivia questions about Toa Payoh will be released each week. (Total of 15 photos and 15 trivia questions related to Toa Payoh)
Locate and take a photo of the location with yourself (and your teammate) inside and answer the trivia questions each week to win. Photos and answers are to be submitted via Google Form (a different link will be provided for each week’s submission so check out) and points would be awarded for each correct location and answer.
Point System
- 2 points awarded for similar photo at correct location; 1 point for correct location
- 2 points awarded for correct answer; 1 point for partially correct answer
Prizes will be given to the top 3 groups with the highest points. In the event that 2 or more groups of participants have a tie score, judges will decide the winner based on how creative the photos were taken.

- 3rd Place: $100 Lululemon Gift Card
2) Photo Contest
Capture a photo that you think best represents the spirit of Toa Payoh East and include a write up of not more than 100 words to explain why so. Super easy right?

Scan the QR code above or click here to fill out the registration form where a confirmation email will be sent to you. Registration fee is $2 (covers both events!) and make payment by 27 August 2021 via:
(i) Online payment via onePA ; OR
(ii) Cash payment: Visit Toa Payoh East CC office at Lvl 1 (9am-7pm daily).
Links for submission of both events will be put online from 13 Aug onwards and all entries are to be submitted by 3rd Sept. Other terms and conditions apply and winners will be announced by the end of September 2021.
