Known for their award-winning hot dry noodles and distinctive Hubei street food, Cai Lin Ji is set to open their 2nd outlet in early Feb 2024 at Guoco Tower (#B2-26). On top of their classic favourites, they will be introducing more Hubei signatures, traditional festive dishes and iconic drinks to their menu.
For the first time in Singapore, diners can savour the historic Green Brick Tea ($6.80 per pot). Originating from Chibi in Hubei, the square-shaped brick tea, molded from old green tea, offers a reddish-yellow, richly aromatic brew with a mellow taste and sweet aftertaste.
Known for its health benefits, Green Brick Tea aids in fat reduction, weight loss, liver protection, and gastrointestinal regulation.
Cai Lin Ji’s Green Brick Tea will be available in four flavours:
- Original Green Brick Tea
- Rose Green Brick Tea
- Luo Han Guo Green Brick Tea
- Orange Peel Green Brick Tea
Introducing a series of new dishes, the must-try dish when you visit is the Steamed Pork with Rice Flour ($9.90). Usually reserved only for special occasions like Chinese New Year, bite into juicy pork belly fragranced with a delectable, spiced rice powder that is robustly flavoured with nutty steamed pork belly and a silky texture.
Other dishes that will be on the menu includes the Pearl Meatballs ($5.90) that is made with minced pork, finely chopped water chestnuts and a layer of glutinous rice.
To whet your appetite, the Vegetable Cold Dish Appetizer ($5.90), featuring sweet potato starch noodles stir-fried with vegetables offers a light and refreshing contrast.
For those seeking more flavours from Hubei, new dishes like Tomato-Beef Pot ($17.90) or Mala-Sirloin Pot ($17.90) is perfect for lovers of fiery tongue-numbing spice. The piping hot pots are filled with tofu skin, lotus root, cabbage and other ingredients before being stewed to perfection with a rich broth.
