As a lor mee enthusiast, I’ve often felt that this delicious Singaporean dish doesn’t get the attention it deserves. That’s why I’ve compiled a list of the top 5 lor mee stalls that I believe every lor mee lover should try. These stalls serve up lor mee that packs a flavorful punch and will leave you craving for more. So without further ado, here are the must-visit lor mee stalls in Singapore.

  • Yew Tee Feng Zhen Lor Mee

Yew Tee Feng Zhen Lor Mee is a highly popular lor mee stall located in the hawker centre in the west of Singapore. Their delightful recipe has been satisfying countless customers, making them a hot favourite in the area. Interestingly, there’s another similarly named Feng Zhen lor mee stall at Taman Jurong, which is said to be run by the same family.

What sets this stall apart is their spectacular gravy, which adds a burst of flavor to their Traditional Lor Mee dish. This dish comes with crispy fried pork balls that are a specialty of the stall. In addition, they also serve fried prawn rolls that make for a great side dish to go with this classic Singaporean favourite.

Amoy Street Food Centre is a popular destination for hawker food lovers, with many all-time favorite stalls. Among them is Yuan Chun Famous Lor Mee , which has earned a reputation for serving hundreds of bowls of lor mee daily to its many hungry customers.

Although there have been reports of falling standards over the years, this stall remains a top choice if you’re in search of a thick and delicious bowl of Lor Mee around the CBD area. Despite the competition from other lor mee stalls, Yuan Chun’s recipe still manages to satisfy many customers and keep them coming back for more.

Fu Hui Wanton Mee & Lor Mee is situated in a small and unremarkable coffee shop within a Bishan HDB estate. However, this stall attracts long queues of customers eager to try their delicious lor mee.

While the majority of customers order the small portion, the large portion is highly recommended as it comes with an additional bowl of fried fish. If you’re a fan of crispy battered fish to go with your lor mee, then Fu Hui is the perfect place for you. This stall is renowned for their crispy fried fish that pairs perfectly with their flavorful lor mee, making it a must-try for any lor mee enthusiast

The well-known Lor Mee at this stall is beloved by many, thanks to its huge portions of ingredients and thick, five-spice braised sauce. Personally, I can never get enough of it and always opt for the large portion.
