This new destination reimagines the classic bao, blending nostalgia with contemporary flavors to offer a fresh take on this beloved comfort food.
Bǎo Bāo (宝包), meaning “precious bun” in Chinese, embodies the essence of both heritage and innovation. Its carefully curated menu features a selection of handcrafted baos designed to appeal to modern palates while staying true to traditional flavors.
Bǎo Bāo is designed to be an experience, not just a store. Inspired by vintage Singaporean shophouses with modern elements, its interior evokes nostalgia while embracing a fresh, contemporary aesthetic. A key highlight is the open kitchen, where customers can watch the entire bao-making process, from dough kneading to steaming, creating a deeper connection to the craftsmanship behind each bite.
Signature Range: Dessert-Inspired Indulgence
The launch kicks off with a trio of dessert baos, catering to those with a sweet tooth:
- Orh Nee Bao (S$1.60): A velvety yam paste filling enhanced with fragrant shallot oil, offering a delicate balance of sweetness and aroma.
- Azuki Red Bean Mochi Bao (S$1.60): A fusion of sweet azuki red bean paste, infused with pandan fragrance, and chewy mochi for an authentic Asian dessert experience.
- French Chocolate Lava Bao (S$2.00): A luxurious bao with a molten center of 66% cocoa Chocolaterie de l’Opéra chocolate, delivering a rich, indulgent bite.

For those craving familiar flavors, Bǎo Bāo’s Classic Range offers hearty, savory baos:
- Big Pork Bao (S$2.90): Juicy pork marinated with ginger and spring onion, wrapped in a fluffy bao for a satisfying bite.
