Tokyo’s renowned izakaya Uoharu is celebrating its first anniversary in Singapore. Known for bringing the authentic flavours of Japan’s Toyosu Market to our shores, Uoharu is now upping the game with a celebration that’s part food festival, part funfair, and 100% delicious.

From 14 August to 19 October 2025, diners can enjoy exclusive dishes, interactive games, and special prizes. And if you’re a beer lover, you’ll want to mark your calendar earlier – because from 28 July to 23 August, Uoharu will host Singapore’s only Suntory Beer Pop-up this year.

Flavours Worth Celebrating

Since opening last year, Uoharu has earned a loyal following for its top-quality ingredients and craftsmanship. The kitchen sources seafood directly from Hokkaido and premium produce from Japan, ensuring every bite is bursting with flavour.

To mark the milestone, Uoharu is rolling out a special anniversary menu. These dishes are not only mouthwatering but also Instagram gold – perfect for showing off to your foodie friends.

Limited-Time Anniversary Dishes

🍞 A4 Wagyu Baguette with Cured Egg Yolk ($16.80)
This is more than a dish – it’s a game. The Egg-slide Challenge dares you to guide a delicate orange yolk down two tubes onto a bed of freshly grilled wagyu toast. Land it perfectly without breaking the yolk, and the dish is free.

🥖 Beef Bone Marrow with Baguette Toast ($25.80)
Rich, buttery marrow paired with crispy baguette slices. Spread generously, sip your drink, and repeat.

🦪 Grilled Seasonal Shellfish (3 pcs, $38.80)
Straight from Hokkaido and Yamaguchi, featuring sazae (turban shell), sweet hotate (scallop), and briny hokkigai (surf clam).

🥩 Beef Tongue and Daikon Nitsuke ($21.80)
Tender beef tongue simmered with slow-cooked Japanese daikon in an umami-rich broth. Comfort food at its finest.

🍢 Oden Moriawase (7 kinds, $18.80)
A medley of simmered daikon, ajitsuke tamago, and assorted fish cakes, served in light, fragrant dashi.

🍤 Jumbo Sea Tiger Prawn with Mentai Aburi ($26.80)
Larger than your palm, topped with creamy cod roe, and lightly torched for smoky perfection.

🍚 Premium Seafood Donabe ($29.80)
Japanese claypot rice loaded with premium seafood. As it simmers, the rice soaks in every drop of umami.

Beyond the Food – It’s a Party

The anniversary isn’t just about eating. Uoharu is bringing interactive experiences so everyone leaves with a story to tell.

🥚 Egg-slide Challenge – Not just tasty, but a fun test of skill. Perfect for video bragging rights.

🍡 Mochi Pounding Experience – Available every Saturday and Public Holiday during lunch. Join the team in pounding Japanese rice cakes, and everyone gets complimentary mochi.

📸 Polaroid Wall of Fame – Snap a shot, stick it on the wall, and get a free sake on your next visit when you find it again.

🎯 Fuku Stick Lucky Draw – Pick a stick and win a prize. It could be free dishes, drinks, or even the chance to treat 10 diners in the restaurant to free beer.

🔥 Katsuo Warayaki Show – A nightly performance of traditional straw-roasting for smoky, flavour-packed katsuo.

Singapore’s Only Suntory Beer Pop-up of 2025

From 28 July to 23 August, Uoharu will be the exclusive host of Singapore’s Suntory Beer Pop-up. Beer lovers can enjoy seven curated beer-and-food pairings for $80 (U.P. $99.80), each designed to highlight the unique flavours of the brew.

Rare beers include:

  • Master’s Dream – Smooth, creamy, and delicate.

  • Kaoru – Rich, fruity, and full-bodied.

Uoharu also holds the Kami-Awa certification from Suntory, awarded only to those who can achieve the perfect pour with fine, creamy foam.

Why You Need to Go

Uoharu’s anniversary is more than just a dinner—it’s an experience. There’s exclusive food you can’t get any other time, interactive games that make dining social, and rare beers you may never see again in Singapore.

It’s a chance to taste Japan’s finest, have fun with friends, and maybe even win your dinner.
