Chin Mee Chin Confectionery (CMC) turns 100 years old this year, marking a century of delicious tradition and heritage in Katong, Singapore. Since 1925, this beloved coffee shop has served generations with its iconic kaya toast and traditional kopi, making it a cultural landmark.

A Century of Flavourful Tradition

When you think of breakfast in Katong, Chin Mee Chin instantly comes to mind. Imagine biting into a soft round bun, perfectly grilled on charcoal, generously slathered with homemade kaya—a secret family recipe—and topped with a slab of cold butter. Pair this with half-boiled eggs and a steaming cup of traditional sock-brewed kopi, and you have a breakfast loved by generations.

Commemorative Collectibles and Exclusive Gifts

To celebrate this incredible milestone, CMC is launching special collectibles:

  • Limited Edition CMCoins: From 23 to 29 June 2025, customers spending at least $25 can draw a commemorative coin. Out of 100 coins, there are 99 silver and 1 rare gold coin. The silver coin wins you a special CMC 100-year T-shirt, while the lucky gold coin holder enjoys a luxurious 2D1N stay at Artyzen Singapore.
  • Exclusive T-shirts: Even if you miss out on a coin, you can purchase a stylish CMC 100-year T-shirt ($38 each). Hurry—quantities are limited!

  • Keychain Blind Bags: From 1 to 15 August 2025, spend $25 or more and win adorable miniatures of iconic CMC items. Designs include the famous shopfront, kaya toast, kopi pour, and more!

Nostalgic New Menus

The celebration continues with special dishes available this August:

  • Curry Pork Chop ($8.80): Crispy pork cutlet served with rich homemade curry.

  • Braised Pork Belly with Preserved Mustard Greens ($10.80): Comforting, tender pork belly slow-cooked in fragrant spices.

  • Pang Susi ($2.80): A rare Peranakan snack filled with savory pork and sweet potato dough.

New French toast creations include Kaya French Toast ($6), Peanut Butter French Toast ($7), and Nutella French Toast ($8), all crafted from soft Japanese-style milk bread.

Special SG60 Collaboration with Artyzen Singapore

Chin Mee Chin has teamed up with Artyzen Singapore for the “Heart of SG60” campaign, highlighting local flavors through creative dishes at Café Quenino from May to October 2025. Look forward to a luxurious kaya mille-feuille and modern takes on classic dishes, like Hainanese beef brisket.

Celebrate heritage and taste history at Chin Mee Chin Confectionery!
