Looking for a place to dine on your next date out or want a place with good food to impress your friend? As someone who loves food and writes about it, I’ve had the chance to visit many restaurants. Here are my top 5 favourite dining establishments so far that I think you should check out!
1. Tapas, 24 Singapore
This newly opened Spanish restaurant was surprisingly delightful. One dish that stood out to me was their “Tapas 24” Bikini Sandwich – I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious a sandwich could be.
Despite being allergic to seafood, I couldn’t resist trying their Mar Y Montana, and I was amazed at how yummy it was. Additionally, their Chuleta, a pork chop seasoned with Mediterranean spices, was incredibly flavorful.
Address : 60 Robertson Quay, #01-04 The Quayside, Singapore 238252
2. WAGYU-X @ Club Street
At Wagyu X, they offer a unique variety of Wagyu known as Hokkaido special Wagyu crossbreed. Their latest addition is Wagyu chargrilled over binchotan charcoal, which adds a distinctive flavour to the meat.
Albeit at a higher price point, the Wagyu they serve is of premium quality, and I highly recommend trying their Wagyu Carpaccio and Sirloin Wagyu dishes when you visit.
Address : 82 Club St, Singapore 069450
3. Wo Wo Dian
As a fan of Sichuan cuisine, this restaurant truly impressed me. Their pork buns were delightfully chewy, with tender meat inside. I particularly enjoyed the Century-Old Sauce Pork Bun for its bold flavours.
The Szechuan Beef Broth Rice Noodle was also delicious, and their Mouthwatering Chicken was authentically prepared and thoroughly enjoyable.
Address: 252 North Bridge Rd, Raffles City Shopping Centre, #B1-13 to 15, Singapore 179103
4. Here Kitty Kitty – Speakeasy & Cocktail Lounge
I initially didn’t expect the food to be as good but I was proven wrong. Not only was the place beautifully designed with Japanese elements, but the food, such as the Iberico Don and Karaage, was also excellent. Furthermore, their highballs, like Kitty’s Handshake and Dark Clouds, were delightful additions to the meal.
Address : 3E River Valley Road, #02-01, The Cannery, Clarke Quay, 179024
5. Chara Brasserie
As someone who’s usually not a fan of buffets, I found this place surprisingly suitable to my liking. What sets it apart is their varied menus for different days, featuring cuisines like Mediterranean, Japanese and Asia Pacific. This variety ensured there was always something for everyone, even for picky eaters like myself.
Address : 8 Club St, #02-01, Singapore 069472
Of course tastebuds would vary depending on one’s personal preferences but if you are looking for a new place to visit, why not give this list a try? With a variety of delicious food available, there is bound to be one that tickles your fancy.
