Ume San 100 Volume 2 has unveiled its latest menu of relationship-themed food and cocktails, offering solace to the heartbroken. Behind a revitalized storefront, the bar introduces a refreshing atmosphere featuring crashing ocean waves, symbolizing renewal and the cleansing of past love woes.
Ume San 100 prides itself on sourcing 95% of its umeshus, liqueurs, and ingredients directly from Japan, providing an authentic Japanese dining experience.
Guests can explore umeshu profiles spanning light, sweet, fresh, malty, round, earthy, and even experimental variations, including sake and sochu umeshus.
The venue’s interior is inspired by Japanese culture, with jidōhanbaiki vending machines serving as a unique facade and a wide array of drinking games to keep the atmosphere lively.
One of the quirkiest additions to the menu is the Ex, Girlfriend, and Boyfriend series of cocktails, each with its distinct flavors and stories.
The Ex Cocktail, for instance, combines umeshu with wasabi vodka, Cointreau, and citrus to symbolize a fresh start after a lost love.

Trouble brews up perilla umeshu, le calvados, fresh pomegranate, lime and edible flowers in a glass while the Tinder Swindler steals hearts with rose umeshu, Okinawa Gin #2 with a touch of acidity alongside butterfly pea-infused gin.
Toxic side chicks are given their due with the Boyfriend Cocktails featuring expressions like Sugar Mommy made of tequila, yellow chartreuse, Gin no Yuzu umeshu and gold ice and It’s Kopicated concocted from freshly brewed coffee, whisky umeshu, ume syrup, KNOB Creek bourbon and coconut foam.
Toast to the mature ladies with Cougar Town crafted from Kujira Inari, Haitian bitters, Swiss bitters, floral bitters and a dash of umeshu as well as the MILF mixed from Masashiro sherry-casked whisky, maraschino liqueur and lavender umeshu.
The bar also showcases ten new varieties of award-winning umeshu imported from Japan’s Kotsuzumi Brewery, known as the Juyondai of Umeshu, some with reduced sugar or completely sugar-free options.

The Breakup Ramen, for instance, offers a unique twist on chilled ramen, crowned with lightly seared XL Hokkaido scallops and bathed in a housemade truffle dashi for an explosion of umami flavours—a perfect embodiment of the idea that revenge is best served cold.
To channel any lingering anger, guests can indulge in the Angry Spam Fries, where strips of luncheon meat are transformed into fries, deep-fried to perfection, and coated in fiery Sriracha sauce.
