Ganko Sushi ups the ante on its premium Japanese plates, luxe lunch sets and omakase menus with the introduction of new robatayaki offerings.
Borrowing from the new Head Chef Koichi Matsuda’s experience in various Michelin-starred restaurants in Japan, Chef Koichi adds to Ganko’s premium offerings on the robatayaki menu.

The grill brings to life vegetables like Shiitake Mushrooms ($5), Fushimi Shishitou Pepper ($5), Large Asparagus ($10) and Hokkaido Corn($15).
Seafood offerings spare no expense, featuring a selection of delectable options such as Capelin Smelt ($15), Tiger Prawns ($15), Whole Squid ($15), Surf Clams ($15) and Big Clams ($20). Big Scallops from Hokkaido are also available at $30. Embracing bold flavours, the menu also offers enticing specialties such as Beef Tongue ($25).
The GANKO Sushi Experience
Ganko’s attention to detail and meticulous believe in quality has shot it to international fame, carried by its quality seafood.
Orders are placed by Ganko’s Japanese head chef directly to professional buyers at the Osaka Fish Market where fresh catch from Japan is flown in thrice weekly from Japan.
Ganko uses only premium Chidori Vinegar in folding its Niigata rice and also serves all its sushi with only Marunaka Shoyu.
On The Menu
- Sashimi
Sashimi offers different cuts of the wild blue fin tuna ‘maguro’, Japanese amber jack ‘buri’, prime salmon ‘sake’, olive flounder ‘hirame’ and striped jack ‘shima-aji’.
More exotic options are included like octopus ‘tako’, alfonsino ‘kinmeidai’, red sea bream ‘tai’ and horse mackerel ‘aji’.
Shellfish sashimi are also on the menu, with offerings like botan shrimp ‘botan ebi’, white shrimp ‘shiro ebi’, surf clam ‘akagai’, jumbo scallops ‘hotate’ and more.
You can also opt for the Assorted Tuna Sashimi that presents an all-encompassing tuna tasting experience with lean red meat ‘akami’, medium fatty ‘chutoro’ and fatty belly ‘otoro’
- Rice Bowls
Ganko offers three options of rice bowls. The Rice Bowl Topped with Premium Seafood (S$58) comes highly recommended with eight types of fresh seafood including botan shrimp ‘botan ebi’, olive flounder ‘hirame’, salmon ‘sake’, medium fatty tuna ‘chutoro’, Hokkaido snow crab ‘Hokkaido zuwagani’, amberjack ‘buri’, topped with salmon roe ‘ikura’ and Murasaki seaurchin ‘Murasaki uni’, each selected to present complementary sweetness of the sea.
Other options include the Seafood Rice Bowl that comes with five types of fish, ebi and ikura and salmon or opt for the Salmon Rice Bowl that satiates all salmon cravings with generous slices of salmon and ample ikura.
- Assorted Sushi and Handrolls
Ganko’s sushi options are as colourful as they come, available in platters of three up to 12 pieces (from S$21). The Assorted Northern Seafood Sushi Platter makes for the perfect introduction to Ganko’s seafood prowess with salmon roe ‘ikura’ sushi, sea urchin ‘uni’ sushi and white shrimp ‘shiro ebi’ sushi.
For the best iteration of its handrolls, try the Hokkai Handroll, a neat roll of Hokkaido snow crab, sea urchin and salmon roe that will hit all the sweet umami spots of your palate.
- Hot Ala Carte Choices & Dessert
A variety of cooked options are also available, catering to diverse culinary preferences with tempura, soups, chawanmushi and more.
The Seasonal Tempura Platter presents the best of Japanese produce through a selection of lightly battered seafood and vegetables, served with aclear light dashi dipping sauce at the side.
Traditionalists will appreciate the famed Japanese dessert of Warabi Mochi served with sweet brown sugar and nutty soybean powder.
- Omakase
Elevating its offerings from just a family-style restaurant as it is known in Japan, Ganko Singapore also has on offer a premium omakase menu, available upon request.
