Wasabi Mayo Mango Shrimp Fritters 香芒芥末虾卷 ($8 for 3pcs) – Golden-fried fritters with fillings made using juicy fresh mangoes and wasabi mayonnaise. Expect crispy pillows bursting with sour sweet notes of tropical mango, while laced with a thin veil of occasional fiery earthiness from the wasabi infused cream.
The classic Hong Kong Ham Sui Kok (Fried Glutinous Rice Dumplings) takes on a fresh transformation with two types of fillings for double the fun.
Black Pepper Beef Tenderloin Rice with Egg 黑椒牛柳蛋盖饭 ($14.80) – A slab of grilled beef tenderloin topped on fragrant steamed rice, cooked and doused with house-concocted black pepper sauce that promises a peppery punch, and enhanced with red and green capsicum and onions added.
Minced Pork & Curry Chicken Fried Glutinous Dumpling 双味咸水角 ($9 for 4pcs) – Stuffed with fillings such as minced pork with dried shrimp and curry chicken with potatoes filling respectively. There is a light crusty exterior at first bite followed by a chewy subsequent enjoyment.
Crabmeat & Shrimp Wonton with Dry HK Egg Noodles 蟹肉云吞港式干捞面 ($14) – A satisfying plate of springy egg noodles tossed in lard oil and house-concocted sauce for a delectable umami taste. The wontons are hand wrapped daily with shrimp and crabmeat fillings.
Tim Ho Wan’s Egg White Spring Roll 蛋白芙蓉春卷 ($6.50 for 3pcs) – Making a nostalgic comeback, this appetiser showcases an original recipe by Chef Mak, one of the esteemed founding chefs of Tim Ho Wan. Indulge in delicate and crispy golden-brown rolls, where airy and fluffy egg whites are skillfully combined with shrimp paste.
