New Iekei & Lava Ramen Now Available At Menya Kokoro 100AM Outlet

Known for their Mazesoba (mixed noodle), Menya Kokoro is now introducing the latest Japanese ramen trend and concept – Iekei Ramen for a slurp-worthy and filling meal to our local food scene.

Originating in Yokohama, Japan, the Iekei Ramen $15.80 (R), $17.80 (L) combines both tonkotsu and shoyu, so the broth is thick with a complexity of flavours. Served alongside a bowl of rice as well and topped with chashu, ajitama, seaweed and spinach greens instead of the usual scallions, enjoy the rich broth in different ways that will guarantee you walk away with a full stomach.

Diners are invited to enjoy the slurp-worthy bowl in three-ways:

Taste the original homemade noodles with the rich soup on its own,
Try a scoop of rice wrapped in seaweed and dipped in the soup, or
Add Menya Kokoro’s “Dou Ban Jiang” for a spicy umami kick.

If you prefer more proteins to carbohydrates, Menya Kokoro also has something up their sleeves for the meat eaters. Introducing their new Lava Ramen $16.30 (R), $18.30 (L), the over-the-top bowl is stacked with a mountain of juicy succulent Sukiyaki Beef / Pork slices topped with an oozy golden lava onsen egg.

With a tongue tingling, umami miso broth, the soup is made using a house special, mildly spicy miso paste with tonkotsu and accompanied by thin, springy ramen noodles. Served with beansprouts, chives and seaweed, this hot and delicious meal is sure to be worth every calorie.
