Invigorate your senses at SENS Dining as they have released a new menu to tantalise your tastebuds with fresh and premium Japanese ingredients. Be whisked away to the land of the rising sun located conveniently outside Holland Village MRT Exit B.
When you visit, expect a selection of classic dishes such as premium sashimi, maki rolls, sukiyaki sets, donburi bowls alongside novel specialty items and sets made for sharing.
A stunning highlight is the Yagura Ketsugo Sushi Box that is a combination of their freshest ingredients, presented in an ancient fortress. Available in limited sets daily, the top tier of the holds crispy seaweed to make your own handroll creations of your choosing.
The mid-tier holds an assortment of uni, negitoro, ikura and avocado while the bottom tier serves bright and flavourful chirashi of scallops, salmon, tuna and Hamachi atop sushi rice that is great for sharing amongst 2-3pax.
Available on the new menu as well are Sushi Tacos made of ebi senbei prawn crackers that holds its crispiness well. Available in five flavours, the Ebi with Tobiko ($8) comes with juicy crunchy tempura prawns while the Tsubugai ($8) shellfish taco holds juicy pillows of raw whelk marinated in a house-made sauce.
The Salmon Mentai ($12.50) promises to be a crowd favourite or revel in the Negitoro ($13.20) that is filled to the brim with minced fatty tuna. For a higher level of indulgence the premium Hotate Uni ($25.80) marries sweet scallops with airflown fresh uni from Japan.
For those who enjoy high quality seafood and sashimi, the Hokkaido Treasure Don ($48.80) comes with generous amount of assorted seafood including Iwagaki oyster from Japan, a rack of uni to go with fresh ebi, salmon belly, white kingfish, tuna, amberjack all on top of a bed of sushi rice.
Enjoy a deliciously crisp pork cutlet with the Kurobuta Rosu Katsu ($19.80) that is served with a side of salad and dressing that is great for sharing of if you prefer a soup option, the Wagyu Sukiyaki Set ($39.50) has a comforting and deliciously sweet broth filled with an assortment of vegetables. Swish your slices of quality beef in the soup before dipping it in a raw egg mixture for an elevated taste that goes well with rice.
Delicious food should be paired with a quality selection of alcohol so visit the hidden bar located on the second floor of SENS Dining. Known as Bar Nikai, explore a wide array cocktails and seldom-seen Japanese whiskies, including those from Hombo Mars, Chichibu, Suntory and Nikka.
