Fans of Peter Rabbit rejoice as Uniqlo has partnered with JW Anderson to bring you their latest collaboration that features an urban wardrobe with the serenity of a peaceful weekend in the country. From toasty fleece and comfy loungewear to Peter Rabbit™ prints on T-shirts and sweatshirts—the collection lends JW Anderson’s lighthearted feel to the simple and high-quality everyday fashion of UNIQLO, imparting LifeWear with a whole new charm.
For those who do not know, the Tale of Peter Rabbit is one of the world’s best-loved children’s books and was created by author and illustrator, Beatrix Potter in 1902. Over 2 million of her ‘little books’ are sold globally every year, whilst Peter Rabbit has appeared on books and merchandise in more than 110 countries throughout the world.
Designer Jonathan Anderson says that, “For me this collection was really about embracing the season. I wanted something that felt very Autumnal in a way and that also felt quite like Autumn in the British countryside. I wanted it to feel comfortable and worn. Almost cosy in a way.”
Traditional tartans and accent stitching create a fresh contrast in an autumnal and winter colour palette. Comfy quilting and toasty fleece are perfect for relaxing weekend escapes from the hustle and bustle of the city. New additions to this collaboration collection include loungewear and such home accessories as cushions and blankets.
Like many people the world over, designer Jonathan Anderson has adored Beatrix Potter’s most famous creation Peter Rabbit and his cousin Benjamin Bunny, in distinctively delightful prints on unisex sweatshirts and oversized T-shirts.
The lineup will include 10 items for women and 10 items for men, two unisex items, and seven accessories.
To be launched from 10 December, with the full collection available on 20 December 2021 as part of Uniqlo’s Fall/Winter collection, this continues UNIQLO’s ongoing quest to deliver the ultimate in everyday comfort through LifeWear, which is simple, high-quality everyday clothing that is affordable and makes everyone’s life better.
Furthermore, enjoy a digital pop-up book that uses augmented reality to bring Beatrix Potter’s beloved characters to life in 3D and will also highlight offerings from the latest UNIQLO and JW ANDERSON collection.
