What We Stand For – Making Coffee Accessible to All
Staying true to their name, they constantly strive to make good coffee accessible and simple for everyone to understand, appreciate and enjoy. Their baristas are trained with the proper tools to enhance their skills and deepen their understanding of the entire coffee chain. Knowledge sharing with other coffee enthusiasts is also carried out via workshops open to the public.
Coffee Workshops – A Session of Learning and Enjoyment
Coffee workshops are held every Saturday morning at their flagship store at Scotts Square (#02-01). 3 types of workshops – Cupping, Brewing & Latte Art, will be rotated on a weekly basis, each with varying duration and price.
Class sizes are up to a maximum of 5 to keep the group small and personal so everyone will be able to have their burning coffee questions answered or pick the brains of their senior baristas.
- Cupping ($15 / 1 hr)
Participant will be able to experience how coffee is evaluated by professionals globally and learn to measure the different aspects of the coffee’s profile – specifically the body, sweetness, acidity, flavour and aftertaste.
- Perfect Brew ($100 / 1.5 hrs)
In this session, their baristas will explain the different brewing methods and their parameters. Participants will get a hands on experience in brewing their own coffee and develop a greater appreciation for the complex tasting profiles of coffee.
- Latte Art ($150 for Basic, $200 for Advanced / 2 hrs)
The Basic Latte Art workshop is suitable for anyone who is looking for something more hands on and interactive. With no prior experience in Latte Art required, participants will learn the proper technique of steaming the milk and will be taught the fundamentals of doing a basic free pour latte art – the heart. In the Advanced Latte Art Class, participants will be taught more complex free pour latte art – the Rosetta, Swan and Peacock. This would be better suited for those with a good grasp of the fundamental knowledge of Basic Latte Art.
