Celebrate Joy Luck Teahouses’ first-year anniversary with a series of afternoon tea snacks and specially commissioned Salted Egg Cookies (180g for S$19), which is created by Louisa Ho, the undisputed Bakery Queen of Hong Kong.
Louisa Ho has held the position of President of the Hong Kong Bakery & Confectionary Association for over 30 years and her Salted Egg Cookies pack a savoury punch with a melt-in-your-mouth texture — it is impossible to stop at just one cookie! These cookies will be available at all Joy Luck Teahouse and Yum Sing outlets
Besides the Salted Egg Cookies, other afternoon tea snacks which are available at Joy Luck Teahouse outlets include the following:
- Mala Fish Balls (S$4.80): Curry fish balls are the quintessential Hong Kong snack. This version sees the bouncy fish balls coated with a mala sauce. Whetting appetites, the sauce is tingly and hits just the right note of spiciness.
- Mala Chee Cheong Fun (S$3.80): Joy Luck Teahouse comes up with an authentic Hong Kong-style Chee Cheong Fun, which Singaporeans can enjoy right here at home. The rolled-up rice noodle sheets are now served with a Singapore favourite: mala sauce.
- Curry Chee Cheong Fun (S$3.80): Drenched with Hong Kong-style curry, the chee cheong fun is also served with a moreish sweet sauce.
- Kaya & Butter Crispy Bun (S$3.00): Kaya is now added to the Crispy Bun to give it an additional coconutty fragrance and sweetness!
The afternoon tea snacks will be available from 28 August 2021, both in stores at Joy Luck Teahouse and for ordering via delivery platform Oddle. Apart from the new offerings, join their anniversary lucky draw where the first prize is a Lifetime Monthly Spending of S$88 at Joy Luck Teahouse!
