With Burgs fifth outlet launched on 21st August, Burgs premiered a new fast casual burger concept at 313@Somerset. Over here, not only will you be awed at their new concept and unique menu, there’s also a free surprise burger drop. That’s right, a FREE burger with every purchase! (Keep scrolling to find out more)
Located inside Food Republic that is at level 5 of 313@Somerset, you will only be given a green light or in this case, an orange wrist tape upon showing your vaccination status.
Pairing their vibrant yellow themed brand with a sleek interior style, the aesthetics of this stall is really hard to miss! If you still can’t find them, just look out for their signboard where Burgs placed it in an eye-catching flash card style.
All About The Food
With the wide array of burgers and sides to choose from, my stomach was spoiled for choices. Definitely a go-to for burger fans!
Some of the dishes that really caught my attention were namely:
- Nasi Lemak Burger ($5.60)
Jumping on the bandwagon of turning local cuisines into burgers, you can try Burg’s very own Nasi Lemak Burger, a limited time special to commemorate the nation’s 56th birthday. Layered with cucumber slices, classic homemade sambal, ikan bilis and a whole fried egg, the burger combo is completed with a deep fried turmeric chicken fillet. This is a perfect dish that will satisfy your Nasi Lemak cravings on the go.
- Chicken Coney Dog ($6.90)
The Chicken Coney Dog offers a different variation from their signature burgers. From the chicken sausage, to their topping of spiced nacho cheese sauce mixed with chilli con carne, everything is being made from scratch. To ensure the quality of all their dishes, Burgs even provides freshly handmade buns.
- Crispy Fish Burger ($7.90 Single)
If you’re craving for fish options, this would be perfect for you. Sandwiched in between lettuces and a crisp bun, the succulent Alaskan pollock fish blends in well with Burgs’ special cheese sauce and fresh tomato salsa. Though it’s a tad bit oily, the overall taste was well-fused with a nice balance of sweet and savoury.
- Beef Bacon Cheese Burger ($7.50 Single)
This burger levels up the classic cheeseburger, with sweet and smoky BBQ sauce, beef bacon and sautéed onions. Realised something special about their bun? Burgs custom buns are freshly baked from an original recipe, and the rustic presentation originated from their signature smashed patty style. I rate it an 8/10 for its overall taste and presentation.
- Nuggies with Cheese Dip ($5.90) & Truffle Fries ($5.90)
Every nugget is made with real chicken chunks with slivers of chicken meat that you’ll indulge yourself in with every bite. It is crispy yet chunky, and like every Singaporeans would say, this dish is indeed really shiok!
The truffle fries on the other hand, comes with a drizzle of truffle oil, and topped with parmesan shaving and spring onion. That is just simplicity at its finest.
- Signature Black Lemonade ($4.50) & Lotus Biscoff Shake ($5.90)
Moving on to the drinks, the Signature Black Lemonade is a refreshing beverage with activated charcoal that has multiple cleansing health benefits. I love this drink so much that I couldn’t stop sipping on it while I was having my burger. It was so refreshing, easy to drink, and it wasn’t like any other lemonade that would make your throat itch a little.
The Lotus Biscoff Shake is a milkshake drizzled with Lotus Biscoff cookie sauce and topped with crushed Biscoff biscuits. This was not too bad, but I would have preferred it to be less sweet. Just a personal preference.
- Lotus Biscoff Soft Serve ($4.90)
Lastly, the dessert! This is hands down my favourite of all. The creamy ice cream option that comes coated with Lotus Biscoff cookie sauce and sprinkled with more crushed Biscoff biscuits on top. The sweetness for this was perfect for me and there was a nice balance to this whole dessert altogether! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
