On Friday, June 18th, UNIQLO will debut their first-ever collaboration line with fashion designer Maiko Kurogouchi. Uniqlo and Mame Kurogouchi’s collaboration focuses on innerwear with trademark curvaceous styling and UNIQLO technologies such as AIRism and 3D Knit. For women everywhere, this comfortable new LifeWear will bring a carefree flair to daily life.
At first glance, Mame Kurogouchi seems to be a name on the rise as a hip, international designer to keep an eye on. Maiko Kurogouchi, a 25-year-old Japanese fashion designer, founded the decade-old company, which is renowned for its iconic feminine silhouettes and has earned high acclaim from sartorial (tailoring) greats all over the world.
Maiko Kurogouchi’s self-named label, dubbed “the next Sacai” by many fashion insiders, has since gained a cult following, with fans adoring her modernist approach to using conventional kimono textiles and embroideries combined with technical touches.
The collection’s plain, well-considered cuts accentuate feminine appeal, while the black, white, beige, and brown color scheme caters to women of all skin tones. The sophisticated new styles in this series will keep women looking stunning from the inside out.
Mame Kurogouchi aims to enhance the feminine comfort and beauty. This is very much evident when you see what the collection has to offer.
With such a huge designer label collaboration with Uniqlo, I’m sure the collection would be on a whole different level than any other. The collection will be available for the public on both the online Uniqlo store as well as all outlets in Singapore.
