Introducing Wagatomo’s newest festive omakase sharing menu that is only available for a limited time (1st – 31st December). Wagatomo is stated to have the best beef omakase in town with five different prized Wagyu cuts. At $98++ per person, you can eat your way through a flavour tour of` Japan’s provinces famous for its Wagyu (minimum 2 to dine).

A5 Wagyu Pizza

The menu starts with the A5 Wagyu Pizza, a signature best seller at Wagatomo. The pizza is entirely topped with slices of A5 Hida Gyu from the Gifu prefecture, complemented with ponzu mayo, pickled myoga (ginger flower) and yuzu kosho cream before finished off with a drizzle of truffle oil. The thin crust is packed with plenty of A5 wagyu slices to satisfy even the most voracious meat eaters.

Moyashi

Moyashi – soy marinated bean sprout

It was an excellent choice to have the Moyashi – (bean sprout) after the A5 Wagyu Pizza which helps to balance the palate. The dish was accompanied with a bowl of soy marinated bean sprouts sprinkled with pomelo and ume dressing.

Wagyu Tataki

Wagyu Tataki

One of my personal highlights of the menu, being extremely fresh and tender, we have the Wagyu Tataki. The wagyu was served cold which better helps to enhance the taste of the beef. The dish denotes meat with ideal firmness and texture, colouring and perfect beef marbling score.

Eggplant Miso

Eggplant Miso

Baked and broiled in the oven, this miso glazed eggplant is easily the dream dish for any eggplant lovers! The serving comes in a pair and it is nicely caramelised on the top yet being creamy in the middle. With the addition of cheese, it gave the dish a silky and sumptuous texture.

A5 Wagyu Senbei

The dish consists of slow-cooked wagyu beef atop, crunchy rice cracker and charred jalapeno salsa. First bite into it, we were certain that it is the dish that stands out most. Being extremely crunchy and tasty, it serves the best of both worlds.

Brussel Sprouts

Brussel Sprouts

These brussel sprouts was definitely addictive, being extremely crispy and caramelized. The dish is pan sauteed which allows the sprouts to retain it’s nutrients. However, it was a little too salty personally.

A5 Misuji

The tenderness of the beef was what I enjoyed the most. Along with the luxury of sansho spice rub and charred onion puree on the side. The beef was tender and literally melts in your mouth on the first bite.

A5 Gyu Don

A5 Gyu Don

Even before this entrée, we already felt that the meal was filling. While savoring the luxurious wagyu don, the poached egg came in as a perfect combination which was appropriate for this dish. Moreover, the rice was truffle coated and this was a major plus point for me being an avid fan of truffle. The gyu don was extremely flavorful and it was a perfect dish for me.

Mille Feuille

Mille Feuille

Being the perfect way to end a scrumptious meal, we had dessert. We were served with yoghurt, puff pastry and chestnut cream. The perfect combination of sweet, salty and fruity elements was what made it unique from other similar desserts.

If you do the calculations, you’ll realize that the meal is way more affordable with the festive sharing menu. If you’re salivating by now, it’s your sign to head down to give this scrumptious meal a try despite the price point, I felt that it was extremely worth it!
