If you have a lot of free time, relaxing in nature, fishing, and prawning are excellent options. To play the waiting game, all you need is the right gear, plenty of sunscreen, and a lot of patience. Just keep in mind to stay in the specified places and follow good manners! Here are the best spots to go fishing, from calm natural parks to reservoirs and outdoor regions.

1) Punggol Jetty Point

This modest jetty, located at the end of the famous Punggol Point Park, is known for its stunning vistas and easy catch, making it one of Singapore’s most popular fishing spots. Anglers should be aware, however, that this jetty can get pretty crowded at night.

Address: Punggol Promenade Nature Walk

2) Jurong Lake

This recreational jetty at Singapore’s west coast, near Jurong Bird Park and other major tourist attractions, is ideal for fishing. In the midst of the pristine water, the gorgeous lake offers stunning sunset views. Do note that only artificial bait is permitted if you fish here.

Address: Yuan Ching Rd

3) Punggol Serangoon Reservoir

This reservoir, which is located on the lovely Coney Island features a large number of bass, but it is important to keep an eye on the tides before going on a fishing trip here. According to local fisherman, the ideal times to fish here are early mornings and late at night.

Address: Punggol Serangoon Reservoir

4) Hai Bin

Hai Bin, one of the most popular places for prawning, never closes its doors to visitors. That means you may immerse yourself in the kampung spirit at any time of day at this old school prawn fishing pond (or even late at night). Whether you’re travelling single or with a group, you’ll like the relaxed atmosphere here.

Address: 6 Tebing Ln, #01-04, Singapore 828835

5) Bedok Reservoir

This area, a nine-metre-deep pond, is a favourite among local fishers for its variety of marine life. Keep in mind that, because this is a reservoir and the water quality must be maintained, only artificial bait is permitted. Here, only catch-and-release fishing is allowed.

Address: Bedok Reservoir Road

6) ORTO

The kampung-style Orto in Yishun is a family-friendly nature paradise that is open all day, every day. Bring the kids here for some longkang fishing or go to one of the ten ponds for some large head prawns and yabbies. What’s the best part? The BBQ pit is a great place to prepare fresh seafood.

Address: 81 Lor Chencharu, Singapore 769198

7) Woodlands Jetty

Fisherman may expect big catches from Singapore’s longest jetty – anglers have allegedly caught barracudas weighing up to 6 kg from Woodlands Jetty! This lovely park also has a large lawn and a fun play area for the kids.

Address: Woodlands Jetty

Here are some spots to fish in Singapore. Enjoying a relaxing time just sitting there with a friend chatting and waiting for a bite. This is an experience that you should try at least once in your life.
