With its unlimited selection of building kits made from pure creativity and the world’s most beloved pop culture concepts, LEGO has long captivated both youngsters and adults. Apart from being a fun way to pass the time on the weekend, LEGO sets have grown from a simple creative toy created to entertain Danish children into a worldwide phenomenon.

  • The Millennium Falcon 10179 First Edition

Part of the Ultimate Collectors Series is a stunning copy of Han Solo’s ship. With over 5,000 pieces, The Millennium Falcon 10179 is more of an art piece for serious aficionados who want to learn how to build such a complicated design.

Aside from the ship, the collection contains figures of Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker, and Obi Wan Kenobi. This set’s packaging is similarly intriguing. Extra certifications showing that the collection is first edition are included on the box of the 2007 versions, but not on the box of the 2009 editions. Being such a rare and hard to find piece nowadays, it’s also selling for $7,470 on Shopee!

  • Joker Manor

Joker’s Manor was released in 2017, contains 3,444 pieces in the set and modelled after Joker’s lair from “The Lego Batman Movie”. The Manor comes with its own roller-coaster system and was the fifth-largest Lego set of 2017. Originally sold for $270, It’s now sold for at least $1000 on Amazon!

  • Grand Carousel 10196

The Grand Carousel is one of the most amazing LEGO kits ever manufactured, with 3263 pieces, nine minifigures, and a motorized, revolving platform. Collectors prize it, and it sells for more than $2000 on online marketplaces despite the fact that it isn’t attached to a specific property or well-known brand. The set was first released in 2009 for $250 and was withdrawn a year later, hence its scarcity boosted its value. Click here to check out The Grand Carousel’s listing on Lazada.

  • LEGO Café Corner Make and Create Set 10182

This is without a doubt one of the most intricate and accurate architectural wonders ever seen in the Lego universe. To create a model that is both humorous and realistic, the Make & Create Café Corner used real-life building techniques and styles.

The use of ultra-rare Lego blocks and special mini-figures in this 2,056-piece kit will have serious collectors salivating, but it’s the modular structure of the design that’s most striking. The Café Corner is made up of three connectable sections that can be opened up to reveal the building’s magnificent interior or packed away for travel and storage. Check out the value of this set here.

  • 926 Command Center

The 926 Command Centre is a vintage and highly prized LEGO kit. Released in 1979, this set 926-1 is rarely spotted in good/new condition for sale online or in the hundreds of retail outlets. Due to the rarity of this hard-to-find set, the current estimated value of $5000 may be far lower than the genuine value if this set can be located for sale. Because Command Center is a very ancient set from 1979, obtaining it sealed and in excellent condition may be difficult, raising the genuine worth even more.

  • Mr Gold Minifigure from Series 10

Not a LEGO set but still a great collectible in general, there are only 5000 pieces of Mr Gold that were mixed up in unmarked blind packs which makes finding the complete series a Willy Wonka Golden Ticket Hunt. When it was released in 2013, the price of a single blind bag was $2.99 but now due to its rarity, it is worth around $5200.

LEGO is seen as a solid investment, and collectors who know what they’re doing may profit handsomely. In reality, according to research conducted by Russian experts, LEGO generates an average yearly return of 11%, with the most valued sets fetching five figures. Who knows? Do check your LEGO before selling them or giving away!
